Musical Weekend

Party Pig - Sophie Harding

So... I liked this weekend, fun it was. It kinda started off on a thursday, went out with my cousin and came back around 5am. Lots of fun (enough said about that day).

On saturday we went out to a Jazz party. It was actually a lot more fun than I had imagined. I beleive Jazz to be one of those musical styles that the song speaks to you, you have to feel the music. This type of music, be it trip-hop, ambient, trance, psy-trance, jazz, classical,... just as long as its purpose is emotion... that is my cup of tea. So, came back home on a sunday at 5am.

On sunday I went to see another cousin perform with his band in a public event (I have many cousins...). Now this performance was actually surprisingly good. I thought he would be playing some punk/hard rock... But no, very good ambient-style. Very good indeed.

So, two days, two different musical experiences which made me very happy and charged for the week.

Ok, have a nice week to all. Have fun always! Peace!

Confusing

Confusing

People are...

On one of my trips, there I was in a brand new city, brand new country, I was incredibly happy, I was also visiting a friend (this was a couple of years ago).

So, on my way to get my luggage I meet an airport staff and start chatting with her, very nice woman. So, I ask her, how is it working in this area, do you like it? She responds...:

"After many years working here, sometimes I would really like to have been a vet."
"Why?" I ask.
"I like animals, if they like you they lick you, if they dont like you they bite you, people are too confusing..."

At that time I give that small laugh and shrug off that comment like its not important. At the end of that trip and up 'till now I realize how true that sentence is. Unfortunately, people are too confusin, too many things biasing our social interactions, too many fakeness (is that a word??)

Anywhos, we are social creatures, so... Cough it up and take it like a man!

peace, lets go party!!

Mid-week... already/still

You know... this is starting off as a strange week... actually not starting off 'cause almost half is gone...

Sunday we go out, strangest things occur... 1) Friend sends 2 flirt messages "from me" to someone accross the bar, she thinks the sender is him. 2) She and I pay no attention to the messages. 3) Another girl out of the blue starts dancing in front of the stage with her pants literally falling off (and she uses no underwear) 4) Message receiver comes over, she tells me about all of her personal biography.

Strange... veeery strange occurances. Then, after that and before that some other strange occurances, but those will be described in the twilight zone, or something like that....

Tomorrow is wednesday, party day. Lets see how that one turns out.

peace out to all!

Weeks gone and...

So... this week, how was it?!

Different things happened. At work, pretty smooth, no huge problems, just a lot of work. General meeting closed the week for us and some new clients, so it was positive.

Social life... Thursday my cousin calls, says hes with some problems, long time I havent spoken with him so I invite to go out. We go to a night BBQ... regrets.. I was staaaarving and the people there werent, so the food took very loooong, and since there were many people, not much food for me. So, I ended up speaking with him for a while and seeing some people I havent seen in ages.

Friday, I had planned for a "romantic" night, hmmm... Just me and a friend, I thought of extending the invitation to my cousin and her bfriend, no problem. We were going to a fancy bar, then changed to a party, then ended up going to another bar. It was very cool, very nice, got back home at 4am to wake up around 6:30am to go to work.

So, was it "romantic", dont know, look at the picture and you will have some idea. Confusing it is, sometimes it looks like its something, and then... But confusing is my life, so... 'Tis all bizarre and well!

Peace to all and happy drinking! Theres still one more night before the work week starts, enjoy it!

So, how was it?!

Party was over for me at almost 6am. So... overall it was very good. Lots of songs that werent even from my time, but it was pretty cool. The crowd was behaved, it was indeed packed, but luckily not THAT packed.

It was indeed quite an adventure to get to this party. My cousin who was going with me said he couldnt go anymore because he had to work, he has one of those wierd hour jobs.

But eventually I got there and stayed with a friend of mine. After the live music part we went inside one of the nightclus and continued the booty-shaking.

Overall the party wasnt 100%, but it was very nice, worth the money. Just a few headaches throughout the party, but that is related to my string of luck.

By the way, we had a job reunion beforehand. We had planned for close to 20 people to gather. Only 1 co-worker showed up... Shessh, Im sure not going to help organize another work-related thingy anymore.

So, now, let the week begin!
peace, joy & lots of fun!

Good day it was! Indeed, good day

So, when I thought of writing this email I had a completly different idea of what this post was going to be about. But, luckily this day changed a little my perception of things.

Ok, so today was one of those once-in-a-blue-moon good day. Not 'cause good days do not pass by me, just because the occurances of today are not that frequent.

So... the day started off me waking up late. Theres something that doesnt happen often. Then there comes the preparation for going to my cousin's house for a little get together. But, right before going I chat for a brief while with my friend in the US. Theres another good occurance, hasnt happened in a while.

I went to my cousin not really THAT excited to go cause I didnt know many people. However I went 'cause she said I would have fun, trusting in her I went.

Over there I meet her friends and her boyfriend. Really cool people. Then I finally meet in person someone I've "known" for about 7yrs. A sort of pen pal from the days I was in the US.

The afternoon passes by, more chatting, more chatting, with my cousin, her friends, the other friend of ours. And when I realize it, the time had flown, it was already 7pm. Now, for me the time flies only in two cases, lots of work to be done or lots of fun being experienced.

It was a very pleasant evening. Lets hope I come across some of those people again. Its incredible how much fun I have in the company of this cousin of mine.

And when I came back I receive an email from another friend I havent heard from in ages. It's ok she only wrote to say her email changed, but its nice to hear at least a word from her. It inspires one of those once-in-a-semester-email of "hows life going".

Good day, a little nostalgic to hear from those I havent heard in a while and also good to have met some nice people.

Now let the week begin.
