Complex day...

Wow! Strange, interesting, and tough day today was...

Ok, at work things went out ok, pretty smooth day with a few glitches at night... Tomorrow we will see further consequences of these glitches.

Besides that, I've heard from a long long lost friend. I've never met her, only corresponded for a few years. Then we meet again through the wonderfull world of technology.

As I get home I hear that the restaurant right beside our house was just robbed with 5 people holding everyone at gun point and taking a bunch of stuff.

Later, as I get home, getting ready to have dinner, I step on the dog's pee (ewwwww!!!). The light was too dim for me to see, so.. I noticed it too late.

And, to cap it off, tried to learn some french using my company's product.

Now, almost midnight, time to go to bed to have another day full of surprises!

listening now to some Tori Amos to tone down the night.

nighty night, sleep tight and dont let the bed bugs bite!!

Wow its already...

Ok, I've just had one of those moments.. We've almost covered 1/4 of the year... My weekend is over... Whats up with the time?!

Weekend activities... relax... Did nothing yesterday, today for lunch there was a family gathering celebrating my uncle's bday (lots of food!!!) and at night I helped a friend do her Univ hmk. Nope, no TV, at most 30mins total. Im at a point that even if I try I can't really sit in front of the TV... nothing good to watch.

In other news... I apologize for the sole reader(s) of this thingy for too much talk about my work. However, currently my life is my work. As a co-worker said, if Im awake, Im at work. Actually, I dont mind it THAT much, just feel bad that my social life kinda sucks...

Consequence of this working too much? A small vicious cycle!! Work too much, poor social life, poor social life, devote more time to work, which then continues the poor social life... This is an overstatement though, I still go out for some fun here and then.

nighty night! peace to all!

Past...

Okay, right now its Saturday morning, 7:30am, right before work. This post was suppose to have been written last night; however, the site, the computer (the drinks...) didnt cooperate with me much, so here we go.

[yesterday]... it was a fine day, relaxing for a change (nice change!!). It was a good day. A very nice online meeting at work, then went "home".

In other news... today I went out with my cousin, and her bfriend. Pretty nice, taking out the fact of a few remembrances...But that is part of life. The past can come back to haunt, humor, or surprise us. Even wierder is when a memory can do all of these things at the same time. Ok... strange past experiences I have... At least I have plenty of un-boring stories to tell my grandkids.

I thing thats it for now...
Cheers!

Relaxing for a change

Ok, so the weekend has officially passed. What was done to it?

Saturday I worked during the morning and a bit in the afternoon. Then, I went with a friend/co-worker to see The Aviator. Later we hung out a bit more and then we went home. After that, went out to a restaurant with my cousin and her boyfriend. Very productive day!! Sunday, rest, rest, rest. Watched a couple of movies and rested. Very pleasant.

In other thoughts... This weekend I had another interesting experience. This occured and demonstrated to me the truth and need of a project that I am working on in the field of HR. The importance of personal competencies in the ability/inability to train someone for a job position. Right now no details about it, in the future I shall describe more in length.

Time to sleep, nighty-night.

And today...

Ok, just so you get an idea of my life today....

7:30am class 'til 9am. 10am class (the student didnt show up...) and problem-solving. Went home to have lunch, came back at 3pm. Many many things until 6:30pm. After that, pretty much just class until 9:30pm, got home, ate dinner, rested a bit and 11pm is right now. In less then 8hrs Im going to be back there.

However, hectic as it seems, today was a lot lighter then yesterday. I'm still trying to find out what was different, once I find the secret I shall repeat it over and over and over again. Maybe it was Powderfinger singing to my ears during lunch.

Ok, in a while another day shall start. Yey for new days!! Lets see how many surprises I get.

peace to all!

Ok, what day is today??? Actually I've forgotten what day it was for a while. Thats how my day is going...

Today I went to work a little before 7:30am, taught, then started solving many problems until 1pm, had a meeting then went for lunch at 2pm. Came back at 3pm and did many other things until 6pm. Taught at 6:30pm, finished at 7:30pm, then tried to do a few more things. However, lack of necessary tools (a computer) didnt allow me to do my job. Loooooong day, ate across the street, entire day raining. Dude, I need some rest.

Aficionado I am for my work; however, I need a life outside my work, its getting pretty hard. Lets see what tomorrow brings, I know today was a little harder then usual. Hopefully the problems that were solved wont come up again.

I need some sleep and I need it bad!
peace to all!

Weekend Update

So, It's been a while since I've written anything here, reason for that is... I really havent been at home much lately. Went out Wednesday night, Friday, Saturday...

Friday night I wanted to go out to celebrate the arrival of a friend. We went out to "Bardot" with a student of ours, cousins and friends. It was pretty nice, the only thing that bothered me a bit was that he wasnt much in the mood to go or drink. But overall it was nice.

Saturday we went out to "Boteco" to celebrate the birthday of a former student. That was fun. Both days I met new people, found new things about some people I already new, talked about some daunting memories,... Pleasant evenings.

At work, some more problems solved, other problems came up, the usual.

So.. this week had a busy work life and busy social life.

As a last note, before writing this I was searching for the art to simbolize the topic of this post. As I read through some descriptions of this painting, I thought it's history has a quite a good resemblance of somethings that have been occuring in the past months. Pretty interesting.

We went out yesterday to a restaurant thats right beside where we live and to make a long story short... This morning I feel tired. Yesterday was nice, celebration happened, met someone who was being kept in secret, and talked a lot of nonsense.

Ok, time for work. Lets do it!

Last day of rest...

And so we have it... Day #4 of our Carnaval holiday, last day of peace, quiet, and rest. Tomorrow it's back to real life once more. However, it's not as bad as it seems.

Okay, first thing which will explain the picture herein. My bedroom will change a little bit to receive a roommate. For those of you who know me do realize how this could be bad news. On the contrary though!! It will be good news for two reasons: (1) I'm pretty much at work during the entire day so, it's not like the room is being THAT used by me... and (2) He is a pretty good guy, my soon-to-be cousin-in-law (if such an expression exists). Fun times are ahead. One concrete change for the year that has arrived.

So, back to work in a little over 12 hrs. Not as bad, with this amount of rest I'm ready for it. Bring it on! I enjoy the work I do and do miss it if out of it for too long. So, I'm glad to go back tomorrow.

Tomorrow it's a night to go out, celebration night!

Peace to all!

Sleep

Sleep
Originally uploaded by madeinbrazil.
Monday, day # 3 of our Carnaval holiday. What did I do during this wonderful day? Sleep... peaceful and much needed sleep. I can barely believe it's already Monday and there is just one more complete day of rest. I've been so burnt out from having a hectic work schedule for the past 3 months that holidays like these do not bore me anymore. I am more then happy to do nothing, absolutely nothing all day long.

So... so far we have sleep, listening to music, movie, computer, and sleep. Who can guess what's up for the rest of the day?

Complexities of daily life

your move
Originally uploaded by madeinbrazil.
I feel that life just isn't fun if it is too simple. Anything that is simple is monotonous, unattractive, boring, not motivating.

I think that explains a lot where I am now. However, tricky it is when this starts to be applicable to every aspect of life.

Challenging situations do make you grow, learn, want to work harder so you are ready to grow even more. One downside, is that it does demand a lot of energies and focus.

Intrinsic aspect of mine it is; but, a double-edge sword it can be when it is left out of control. Somethings I'd rather have less complicated then they are.

The ideas that arise from the complexities of daily life...

Music, eletronica, e-music, is no doubt a good part of me. The learning, the venting, the relaxing, the energizing effects of this music is amazing. The amplitude of e-music is astounding, DnB, Techno, Trance, Psytrance, Trip Hop,... they are indeed amazing.

Day One....

Ok, here is day one of this new web adventure. A deeper, more obscure and uncensored version of this thing lies hidden somewhere on the net. This I will release for the general public. General news.

Ok, I've just finished with a long and stressful week at work. Many, many things to do, many many changes were done. Overall I think it was a success, although we did have some problems with this change. But, luckily the negative consequences were kept to a minimum.

Today is also pre-carnaval. Friday night, after working for 14 hrs I feel pretty burnt-out to go out or to do anything beyond press some keys on my comp. Thus, here I am. For the next few days I expect to get a lot of sleep, rest and peace.

Professional life is good, social life is good, so... 'tis all good!
Peace out for day #1!
